God is With You

You will never go where God is not and He is with you whether you are happy or not.

Engage First and then Retreat

First engage with the world and then retreat from it. The devil wants you to believe in urgency, the lie that you can’t do both. The truth is, you can balance both engagement and retreat.

We are all creatures of habit. For those of us who are in the habit of constantly keeping busy, the problem is making the time to retreat and reflect… Or conversely, for the more introverted types, the problem can be getting out of your retreat stage and starting to engage with the world again. The devil wants you stuck. But God sets you free, allowing the possibility of a healthy flow between the two.

Don’t Be Afraid to Be Lost

Don’t be afraid to leave. To travel. To go out on your own, away from home, and out of your comfort zone. Only good things can come from this. At the very least, getting lost will help you find yourself.

Moving Forward

Keep your eyes open and your feet moving forward. You’ll find what you need.

Thought for the Day

Just because I liked something at one point in time, doesn’t mean that I’ll always like it, nor that I have to go on liking it at all points in time as an unthinking act of loyalty to who I am as a person. To be loyal to myself is to allow myself to grow and change; to consistently challenge who I am and what I believe. The only thing of which I am certain, is uncertainty. And this is a good thing because it means I’m growing, and not stagnant or shrinking.

Collaborate

Two minds are always better than one. Never underestimate the power of collaboration.

The Will to Survive

The primary factor in determining survival is will. Humans are so incredibly adaptable. You’d be astonished what kind of circumstances you can pull through, if only you have the will to do so…

The Truth about Marriage

God didn’t design marriage so that you could have a flawless roommate for life. No, the primary purpose of marriage is to help you learn how to wash the feet of another sinner.

Remember that God has a higher agenda for your life and He ultimately uses marriage to make you more like Him.

The Tough Stuff

I’m grateful for the tough stuff in relationships, as it is often these very relationships that are helping us to grow into the person God designed us to be, and ultimately preparing us for a life in heaven.

Thought for the day

People come in and out of our lives so fast as time flies by…We should never miss an opportunity to tell someone how much they mean to us.
