If God is the Divine Artist and He created us in His image, then what does that make us?
Think about it, as a kid, you probably loved to draw, write, paint, sing, make up dances, make up just about anything really….
But then somewhere along the way, someone told you that you weren’t any good at it, they laughed at your work, or explained to you why being an artist is unrealistic. See we’re all born artists. We all have it in us to create. The problem is staying an artist when you grow up…
Start living today. Start doing the things that you want to today. No excuses. No one knows what the future holds. Besides, what good does it do to live in the “one of these days” mindset? The life you have is today. The time to live it is now. Living and waiting are not mutually exclusive! But waiting to live is dangerous.
Yes, pursuing your dreams is hard. Especially if your dream has to do with changing the world. But here is my answer to any negative thinking you may struggle with when it comes to your dreams being “out of reach”, “far fetched”, “impossible”, or “simply too difficult”…
If you’re ambitious and passionate about your dream, than why let negative thinking hold you back? If you’re blessed with a dream that drives you forward, why stand still in fear? I guess my question is… if you’re not qualified, than who is? Or more importantly, if you don’t do it, than who will?
I wonder what would happen if people starting posting their personal prayer requests as status updates. Certainly, we’d all grow closer through the process of vulnerability. And possibly, Facebook could become a community of prayer warriors!
Hard to believe today marks a year. A year of pain, longing and questions but also a year of healing, growth and indescribable grace. I question whether we can fully comprehend the sweetness of life without first experiencing its bitterness. Today, as I miss my best friend like always, all I can think is what an incredibly sweet gift it was to do life with him. I treasure every memory.
