Put on Your Armor

It is written, “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)

My beloved, I am with you now and always. In this world, you will have troubles, but fear not! I have overcome this world.

Think of yourself like a warrior going to battle. Remember how much you loved Joan of Arc? Do you think she was without persecution? Even I, my Son Jesus Christ, God of all creation, was persecuted in and by this world. The world doesn’t like you because you’re not from this world. You can even rejoice in this, because you are not like them either.

It’s my strength, that strengthens you. My arms that comfort you. My will that is done through you. Do not let your heart grow weary! Have I not told you that these things would come to pass?

When you feel as though you’re not strong enough to endure, remember that I am. Remember all that we have been through together. Have I not proven my faithfulness? Have I not proven that my will is good? Have I not shown you that my promises are pure? That I can, and do, turn ALL things to good for those who are called according to my purpose?

You say you are ready, then put on your armor.

Every Good and Perfect Gift is from Above

It is written, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly light…” (James 1:7)

I love you. Your desire to please me, pleases me. I know your heart, your intentions, and every hair on your head. You are right to relax in my presence and enjoy the blessings that I shower upon you.

As you know, not every season is peaches and roses, but I am never far from you. You can take comfort in knowing that I am for you.

Even as a spiritual battle rages around you, I am at work within you. Indeed, I am doing a new thing!

As the Author and Finisher of your faith, you can rest assured in the plans I have for you. You’re a light in a dark world. Don’t let others dim it. My opinion of you is the only one that matters. And my precious child, I am pleased.

Delight in the Lord

It is written, “Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)

My precious child, the closer you come to me, the closer I am. The more you delight in me, the more blessings I rain down upon you. To live in communion with me is to experience life in this way, with all of the joy and miracles I offer you on a daily basis.

Hold onto this sense of my presence. I never leave you, but it is you who often get distracted and forget about me. Ask my Holy Spirit to help you with this.

Blessings

It is written, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

I am here. Now and forever. Even when you feel far from me, I am near. Open your eyes! Don’t you see all that I’m working to accomplish through your life?

This is My story. And I can assure you, it’s a good one. As you become ready, I reveal more and more of the delightful plans I have for you. One thing at a time. You must remain present to avoid burnout. Leave the rest to me.

As you look for me, I reveal myself to you. When you call for me, I answer you. I delight in answering your requests, as a mother delights in pleasing her child.

I am with you, doing everything right alongside you. It is you, weak in the flesh, who too often forget this great treasure. The gift of my Holy Spirit, present with you always.

I want your heart to come alive in me. So bring me your fears. Don’t stress over things that only I control. I love you and my blessings pour down upon you.

Obey the Lord your God

It is written, “These are the blessings that will come to you and stay close to you, because you obey the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 28:2)

My direction and commands are meant to protect you. If you hold them close, they will comfort you. If you follow them, I will bless you.

Not your marriage, not your children, not your work, nor anything else is more important than me! Indeed, did not all these things come from me?

So then, walk in my Truth. Follow my commands and your paths will be made straight.

You will know your next move, when you pause to ask, “Lord, what’s my next step?” I will direct you in truth and safety, to joy and blessings abound.

You cannot serve this world and also me. Trying to do so will cause great distress among you and within you. So then, will you pick up your cross and follow me? Will you trust that I have all the details worked out already?

I Am (A Poem)

Though I’m saddened when you make mistakes,
My heart is joyful when you seek My face.
For I did not come to help the morally right,
but the fallen and broken are dear in My sight.
The closer you come to Me,
the closer I AM.
Though distractions are plenty,
so is My hand.
Reaching out for you daily,
My peace is there for the taking.
So if you’re tired of waiting,
come find rest in I AM.

Lean into Me

It is written, “All this comes from the Lord Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom.” (Isaiah 28:29)

I love quiet moments with you. When I can fill you with the fruit of the spirit, counseling you, and infusing your mind with wisdom. I am always eager to communicate with you, but sometimes you are too distracted to hear My counsel.

Keep your thoughts and eyes focused on me. When you face any decision, big or small, bring it to me. And I will show you the way.

Indulging in my presence, not only heightens your awareness to my voice, but you’ll also be better able to decipher my voice in the lives of those around you.

I’ve given you the gifts of leadership and wisdom. Forgive others as I have forgiven you. So that I may use you as I intended in their lives, and in the lives that they themselves will touch. It’s a reciprocal effect. And it starts with you leaning into me.

You are Enough

It is written, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

I see you for all that you are. I know how good your heart is. I know when your intentions are pure.

I love that you work so hard to please me. But remember, I love you despite your work too.

Just as you are is enough. More than enough. In fact, it’s through your weakness and vulnerabilities that my power can shine the most. So cease striving!

Your work has touched the lives of many. And it will continue to touch many more.

Your life itself has touched the lives of countless others, many of whom you’ll never even know. That is My work.

So take heart and remain humble, that I am doing this work through you!

Guard Your Thoughts

It is written, “We take every thought captive so that it’s obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

I love when you sit in My presence. Soaking up all that I offer you, rather than focusing on your to-do list. What I have to offer is far more important than your daily, weekly, or even monthly tasks. What I offer is eternal and bleeds into all of your to-do’s. Everyone and everything around you is blessed when you’ve taken the time to fill up on me.

Likewise, when you keep your eyes focused on me throughout the day, such blessings can continue to flow through you and all that you do.

Guard your thoughts. The mind is the devil’s playground. He will use it to harm you and others, and to distract you from My will. So hold every thought accountable. Is it true? Is it good? Is it from Me? If not, let it go.

In this way, you’ll be better able to accomplish the plans I have for you. Which may be different from what you initially think.

The Potter and the Clay

It is written, “A potter has the right to do whatever he wants with his clay. He can make something for everyday use from the same lump of clay.” (Romans 9:21)

Do not ask, ‘Why has this happened to me?’ or ‘Why am I this way?’ Don’t you know that I have made you? I don’t make mistakes.

You may not see the entirety of my plan, but I can. I am the Author and Finisher of your faith. Know that I am God. Not even one hair falls from your head without me knowing about it.

You want to be used by me? Well, like the clay in the hands of the potter, this requires complete submission to My will. Even when you don’t understand the why. My ways are higher than yours. Have I not proven that My ways are good?
