I want to share a story with you and get your feedback. I frequently serve as a guest writer for other websites that share my vision. Today, as I was browsing the internet and working on another guest post that I have coming up, I came across an article on Marc and Angel Hack Life called 10 Things To Remember When You’re Feeling Stuck. I clicked on it and to my dismay, the article was mine. It was my exact article taken almost verbatim and published as their own. They published this article exactly one month after I published mine. I know they say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but I must be honest, I’m deeply hurt. Am I just naive to think that something like this wouldn’t happen to me? Is this simply something that comes with the territory of being a blogger and is to be expected?

I would think that a well known website such as Marc and Angel Hack Life, which gets loads of traffic every day, would be above forgery. It’s disheartening that a website which claims to promote truth seeking, could be so deceptive. Well respected writers, acting with such dishonor. Because they have a wider reacher than I, they’ve assumed that no one will notice and they won’t get caught. But even worse than this, now that I’ve caught them, who can I tell? Is there anything I can do about it? Will they face any repercussions?

I, myself, have been a fan of Marc and Angel Hack Life for some time now. But I am not a fan of ripping people off. And they have ripped me off. They’ve taken credit for work they didn’t do. My work. And I feel powerless.

I put my heart and soul into my work. To think that someone could steal this from me is horrifying.

I don’t usually like to get too political on here because every one has their differing beliefs and opinions, as they’re entitled to…but I do find it a bit disheartening that we claim people are allowed to have their own opinions but then reprimand these people for expressing them. Differences are what makes our world go ’round.

I, myself, am a huge Duck Dynasty fan. And I think Phil’s suspension was a mistake by A&E. Whether or not you agree with Phil’s belief is one thing, but free speech is another. Free speech is our constitutional right.

Then again, the media has been restricting free speech for decades, this is just one incident that is calling our attention to it. Reality TV, not so real after all.
