God is a Refuge for Us

It is written, “Trust in Him at all times you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” (Psalm 62:8)

My beloved, there are no feelings too big for me. Nothing that you say, do, or even think surprises me. Not a hair falls from your head without me knowing. So then, don’t you think that I already know your heart?

Come to me with your weary soul and I will give you rest. Pour out your heart to me and my Holy Spirit will comfort you. I am your Counselor, better than any therapist you could hire. Share with me and receive peace in My presence.

Not only will you find comfort, but I will also give you strength to face the battle before you. And wisdom to know your next step.

The God of angel’s armies helps you. In a real, literal, and physical way. Why would you look anywhere else for comfort?

My arms are open. My ears are listening. In your weakness, my power is on full display. I love you.

Scars

“Don’t be ashamed of scars. They simply mean that you’re stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.” -Unknown

Strength, inner strength, comes from receiving love as much as it comes from giving it. To be able to receive love is the key to happiness. How can love change us, if we are unable to accept it? This is why we must always strive to show people that they are lovable and worthy.

An Old Fable About The Sun and The Wind

One day, the Sun and the Wind quarreled about which was the strongest and the Wind said, “I’ll prove that I am. See that old man down there with the coat? I bet I can get his coat off quicker than you can.”

So the Sun went behind a cloud, and the Wind blew until it was almost a tornado. But the harder it blew, the tighter the old man clutched his coat. Finally, the Wind calmed down and gave up.

Then the Sun came out from behind the clouds and smiled kindly on the old man. Presently, he mopped his brow and pulled off his coat. The Sun then told the Wind that gentleness and friendliness are always stronger than fury and force.

The end.

Finish Strong

finish strong

God puts chapters in your life. Finish each chapter strong. Finish strong by focusing only on the things in front of you and by not thinking of what lies ahead.

God will give you the strength to finish this day strong. And when tomorrow comes, He will give you the strength to finish it, as well. So focus on today, and be faithful in your chapter.

The Bible

The Bible is like a caged lion.

If someone is attacking the lion, don’t try to defend it…

Just unlock the cage.

Who’s Your Daddy?

Jesus

When you know Who your Daddy is, it gives you courage and strength.

Not in your ability or who you are, but in His, and who He is.

Before God Can Use Us, He Must First Break Us

Before God can use a man greatly, He has to hurt him deeply. God is at work in your disappointment and pain- teaching you a lesson of complete dependence on Him. He may cut you down and remove all the strength you have as a way to prepare you to be used by Him. Remember this during times of trial, and be grateful. The greater the need in your life, the greater God’s glory and provision.

Bless the Poor

The Christian God is the only one who blesses the poor. All other religions bless the strong. But Jesus died in shame and weakness– OUR shame and weakness! Therefore, God didn’t save us by strength, He saved us through weakness. This is why He blesses the poor and weak.

Beware of Your Strengths

Beware of your strengths because those are the places you are most likely to forget God.

God doesn’t want to put your talents on display, because that won’t help anybody. He wants to put His power on display through your weaknesses. If dependence is the objective, than weakness is the advantage.

Where has God made you weak?
