I Will Guide You

It is written, “We pray that you’ll have that strength to stick it out over the long haul – not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy.” (Colossians 1:11)

I love our quiet time together. It’s not your strength, but mine which carries you through. Since you do not know when your work will be done, you must rely on my strength for the long haul. Likewise, you can’t know what work I’m doing behind the scenes, so you will need extraordinary faith to trust in my plan for your life. Extraordinary faith is a gift from my Holy Spirit. You already have this within you. As my Holy Spirit also resides in you.

So you are wise to continue speaking with me and clinging to me. As my work is completed, so will your faith be strengthened. It’s really that simple. We work together. And I will guide you, if you let me.

Last night God asked me, “How much do you trust me?”

Last night God asked me, “How much do you trust me?”

“A lot,” I said.

He laughed, as He often does. “Okay. But do you trust me enough?”

He continued, “Enough to stop worrying about time and how much of it you have? Have you not seen how My timing is perfect?

Enough to stop obsessing over your To Do list? What if I have better things for you to do?

When you pray to me, ‘Jesus, take the wheel’, do you really mean it? Will you let me?

Do you trust me enough to lay your head on the pillow at night, without your mind racing?

Will you accept My offering of peace?

Will you find your rest in Me?”

I sat, once again, dumbfounded in His presence.

“You say you trust me a lot, but is it enough?”

If You Could Grasp My Love for You…

It is written, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1)

My precious child, a grateful heart is the best medicine. This is why I’ve called you to give thanks in all circumstances. When you find yourself feeling ungrateful, remember the goal of your faith – the salvation of your soul.

No matter what trials we face together here, there’s a place for your soul in heaven. An eternity with me awaits. So rejoice! Contemplate the love that I have for you. It’s immeasurable.

Truly, if you could grasp my love for you, then all of your prayers would be praise.

Why Worry?

It is written, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17

Child, child, you are worried about many things. Have you forgotten my Holy Spirit, your Helper? He resides within you. He will show you how to move forward, in His perfect timing. Why get ahead of yourself with worry?

Instead, try to remain present, as each day has enough trouble of its own. I will fully equip you to handle whatever challenges you may face, as they come. So don’t waste energy concerning yourself with future matters and challenges that have not yet arrived. Like a lamp, I will light your way.

Look around you, is there anything seriously wrong? No, all of your worries exist in the future moment. That has not yet come, and may never arrive. Enjoy the beauty of now, this is what I’ve called you to do. The great adventure of life unfolds one day at a time, and I am always with you, right by your side.

God’s Kindness

It is written, “Since we are God’s coworkers, we urge you not to let God’s kindness be wasted on you.” (2 Corinthians 6:1)

I know you by name. I knew you before you were ever formed in your mother’s womb. I will not let harm come to you.

I am your Helper, Healer, Redeemer, and Friend. I know the desires of your heart and I know your needs. Stay rooted in me and I will guide your steps forward.

Can’t you see? I am holding your hand. Rejoice in our intimacy. Rejoice in my kindness. In my grace. In its sufficiency.

Let others see me when they look at your life. This is how you honor me.

Listen when I speak. Act when I nudge. And tell others about all the miraculous things that I’m doing in your life. Then focus on staying present, so that you can fully enjoy it all.

Put on Your Armor

It is written, “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)

My beloved, I am with you now and always. In this world, you will have troubles, but fear not! I have overcome this world.

Think of yourself like a warrior going to battle. Remember how much you loved Joan of Arc? Do you think she was without persecution? Even I, my Son Jesus Christ, God of all creation, was persecuted in and by this world. The world doesn’t like you because you’re not from this world. You can even rejoice in this, because you are not like them either.

It’s my strength, that strengthens you. My arms that comfort you. My will that is done through you. Do not let your heart grow weary! Have I not told you that these things would come to pass?

When you feel as though you’re not strong enough to endure, remember that I am. Remember all that we have been through together. Have I not proven my faithfulness? Have I not proven that my will is good? Have I not shown you that my promises are pure? That I can, and do, turn ALL things to good for those who are called according to my purpose?

You say you are ready, then put on your armor.

Every Good and Perfect Gift is from Above

It is written, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly light…” (James 1:7)

I love you. Your desire to please me, pleases me. I know your heart, your intentions, and every hair on your head. You are right to relax in my presence and enjoy the blessings that I shower upon you.

As you know, not every season is peaches and roses, but I am never far from you. You can take comfort in knowing that I am for you.

Even as a spiritual battle rages around you, I am at work within you. Indeed, I am doing a new thing!

As the Author and Finisher of your faith, you can rest assured in the plans I have for you. You’re a light in a dark world. Don’t let others dim it. My opinion of you is the only one that matters. And my precious child, I am pleased.

Delight in the Lord

It is written, “Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)

My precious child, the closer you come to me, the closer I am. The more you delight in me, the more blessings I rain down upon you. To live in communion with me is to experience life in this way, with all of the joy and miracles I offer you on a daily basis.

Hold onto this sense of my presence. I never leave you, but it is you who often get distracted and forget about me. Ask my Holy Spirit to help you with this.

Blessings

It is written, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

I am here. Now and forever. Even when you feel far from me, I am near. Open your eyes! Don’t you see all that I’m working to accomplish through your life?

This is My story. And I can assure you, it’s a good one. As you become ready, I reveal more and more of the delightful plans I have for you. One thing at a time. You must remain present to avoid burnout. Leave the rest to me.

As you look for me, I reveal myself to you. When you call for me, I answer you. I delight in answering your requests, as a mother delights in pleasing her child.

I am with you, doing everything right alongside you. It is you, weak in the flesh, who too often forget this great treasure. The gift of my Holy Spirit, present with you always.

I want your heart to come alive in me. So bring me your fears. Don’t stress over things that only I control. I love you and my blessings pour down upon you.

Fear Not, You’re Mine.

It is written, “The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun scorched land, and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden, like a spring, whose waters never fail.” (Isaiah 58:11)

Have you forgotten who I am? I am the Giver of all good things.

Draw near to me and let your heart be satisfied. Drink from the well of My Word and come alive!

My Holy Spirit resides in you. Therefore, I am never far from you, even when you cannot see me. To live abundantly, fully experiencing the joy I offer, is to reside in me, too.

My ways are higher than yours, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

Where you see uncertainty and loss, I see certain victory and gain.

Yes, you are and always have been living on a battlefield. But fear not, I have already won the battle! And you, my beloved, are well-equipped. I’ve been preparing you since before your mother’s womb.

So fear not, child. You’re mine.
